Public skating all weekend ⛸️

Get some excercise at one of many free public skates over the weekend. Head to Countryside Arena from 2-3 pm Saturday, Carmichael Arena from 7-8 pm Saturday or Cambrian Arena from 3-4 pm Sunday for all-ages public skating. Check the city’s website for other adult-only or parents & tots ice times throughout the city and surrounding communities. The skating oval at Queen’s Athletic is also open Friday from 4-10 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12-10 pm.

Moana 2 in IMAX 🎬

Bring the kids to see the follow-up to their favourite Disney movie! Catch up with Moana and Maui 3 years later and join them on a new voyage to dangerous long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything Moana’s ever faced. Playing this Sunday at 6 pm at Science North’s IMAX theatre. Tickets here.

Denim & Diamonds NYE Pre-Party 🤠

Kick off the NYE celebrations early with the Denim & Diamonds NYE Pre-Party at HQ Nightclub this Friday night. Dance the night away to country hits from 10 pm to 2 am. RSVP here for free entry!

Winter hike at Kivi Park 🥾

Head to Kivi Park this weekend for a winter hike! Choose between the main hiking trails (1-7 km), around Crowley Lake (1-8.5 km) or around Linton Lake (9-13 km). Check Kivi Park’s website for current trail conditions.

Art show at Galerie du Novel-Ontario 🎨

Explore Images & Mots at L’Atrium Italiano at the GNO, Friday or Saturday from 12–6 pm. Eleven BRAVO-Nord artists interpret Franco-Ontarian poetry through paint, fibre art, and collage, blending words and visuals in a captivating dialogue.
